HBO Go is the streaming platform that HBO has had in Romania for several years, and which is "linked" to the television offers that many telecommunications operators currently have. Unfortunately, HBO Go is very limited in terms of the movies and series that can be watched, apart from the original ones, very few are licensed, and this is of course a problem for many of the subscribers in Romania who want more.
HBO Go, or HBO Now, are to be replaced in some countries in Europe with HBO Max, a new video streaming service on demand that Time Warner created with the idea of competing more seriously with Netflix, and not only that. HBO Max would bring a lot of new content that does not exist in HBO Go at the moment, which would be a great advantage for subscribers, even if the subscription would cost more, but the problem is that this new platform will not be launched too soon.
HBO Go: IMPORTANT Announcement Expected by Romanian Subscribers
HBO Go it has less content compared to Netflix, at least in Romania, and although it is cheaper, unfortunately it does not offer the same experience that the customers in the country expect. This could be totally solved if HBO Go was replaced with HBO Max, whose subscription would be more expensive, but which would provide access to much, much more content, and it wouldn't be bad either if both platforms were offered in tandem by the HBO company for Romanian customers.
HBO Go will gradually disappear from the European countries where HBO Max will be launched, and HBO's strategy is to bring the new streaming platform to as many regions as possible as quickly as possible. For Romania, for the time being, nothing is known for certain regarding the disappearance of HBO Go, or the offering of HBO Max in tandem with the current platform, but it would not be excluded that by the end of the year it would be available, but not with free phone subscriptions furniture.
HBO Go it is currently available for free testing for 7 days in Romania, and with some mobile phone subscriptions it is even offered for free for half a year.
