Ministry of Health: new relaxation measures possible from July 1

Ministry of Health relaxation July 1

The Ministry of Health, through Minister Nelu Tataru who made statements in a televised interview, announces that on July 1st new relaxation measures are possible in Romania, but only on the condition that the number of infections does not get out of control, which in the last days it seemed possible.

The Ministry of Health is analyzing the current situation, according to the statements made by Nelu Tataru on Antena 3, and the decision to apply, or not, new relaxation measures will be taken at the end of the month, after it will be seen what impact the reopening of the mall has schools, kindergartens, etc.

"To the extent that we will observe the social distancing precautions and the new ones that we have imposed, we will have a progressive but manageable increase by us. To the extent that we have a favorable evolution in the next two weeks, we can manage to think about other relaxation measures after July 1. This means a small increase in the number of cases from one day to the next, i.e. 50, no more, and we can manage them alternatively, so that after these two weeks we have a constancy in the number of new cases, even a decrease.

All we have relaxed so far are measures that can be easily managed, counteracted as negative effects, and if these measures will go well, we can think about other measures after July 1. As you know, at private events we had 8 in a house, now there are 20, outside there were 16, now there are 50. We are going progressively to feel the community transmission, it is also the one that gives us the evolution of relaxation measures."
