Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom are at the center of a very interesting, but surprising, announcement regarding what is happening in Romania, including what concerns their clients from all over the country. The other days, ANCOM revealed what kind of traffic records for services were recorded by DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom during the state of emergency in Romania, based on the increase in the use of fixed internet, but also on the number of minutes of talking on phone.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom apart from the records, ANCOM also made a surprising announcement, and it is related to the streaming traffic that is registered in our country. According to those from ANCOM, the mobile streaming traffic for YouTube, Netflix, and other similar services, recorded in Romania a decrease of only 6% in the DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom networks after these services reduced the quality of the content played.

Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom had, until the application of these measures by Netflix, YouTube, etc., a share of 55% of the mobile internet traffic generated by these content platforms. After the substantial reduction in quality for them, DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom also recorded a decrease of 6 percentage points in the share of mobile traffic, up to 49%, so the impact was not as great as the American companies initially announced.
