The Government of Romania: FINAL decision regarding the relaxations from July 1

The Romanian Government Decision on July 1 relaxations

The Romanian government comes today with the final decision regarding the relaxation measures that many Romanians were expecting starting on July 1, and as expected, there will be no measures of this kind because the number of cases of Coronavirus is still very big.

The Romanian government, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, announced that not only will it not apply new relaxation measures, but it will begin an even wider and more rigorous check of compliance with the protection measures, especially in the coastal area, and in mountainous areas.

For now, the Romanian government does not want to introduce new restrictive measures, but Nelu Tataru, the Minister of Health, said that this is possible locally, but only if the situation requires it in certain areas of the country.

"The evolution in the last 10 days is an evolution that makes us very cautious in further relaxation measures. The relaxation plan we have put together is a phased relaxation plan, every 15 days, and an evaluation is needed to see how things have gone."
