Facebook has officially announced that it will launch a competitor to TikTok in the coming weeks, the American company finding the perfect moment to bring something to the phones to rival the application created by the Chinese, and extremely popular.

Facebook will launch Instagram Reels in the US and 50 other countries in the coming weeks, all as an initiative to stop the expansion of TikTok, which became extremely popular in 2019, but also 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Facebook will allow through Instagram Reels the creation of 15-second video clips to which a variety of songs can be added, but of course it will also be possible to take content from other users' video clips, something that is not possible now.

Facebook launched Instagram Reels in Brazil last year, and since last month it is also available in France and Germany, the other day it reached India, even after TikTok was banned by the local government, the Americans quickly taking advantage of the situation.

Facebook will allow the use of Instagram Reels directly from the Instagram application, this integration guaranteeing to a certain extent the success of the platform, which could bring even more users within the main application.
