The Romanian Post has announced a decision expected by many Romanians, one that was supposed to come for a very long time, but even if it comes now, it is still a good one that we can enjoy a lot based on the change it produces.
The Romanian Post is continuing the modernization process in Romania, so in Cluj-Napoca it will buy an automatic line for sorting parcels and envelopes with OCR scanning and barcodes, which is exactly what courier companies already have.
The Romanian Post will greatly simplify the life of the employees with a system of this kind, and it could also send the shipments in the country, in the specifications of the SEAP, being a public purchase, the following being mentioned vis-a-vis the purchases.
"Automatic sorting facility for postal parcels, PRIORIPOST shipments, registered correspondence, with scanning (OCR and Barcode) of labels/destination addresses, for the equipment of the Cluj-Napoca Regional Transit Center (CRTz Cluj)", through financial leasing for a period of 4 years - according to the description in the descriptive document (specification).
The purchase of the equipment through financial leasing does not require the payment of an advance from the contracting entity, and the residual value is 0%, being included in the leasing rates. Payment of the last installment is considered as payment of the residual value."
