Those from ANCOM announced this week that they reached a consensus regarding the reduction of tariffs for the termination of calls in fixed points, and DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom will have to apply the new tariff from November 1, 2020.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they are going to reduce by 30% the prices for phone calls made from fixed lines, so the new rate will be 0,098 euro cents/minute for everyone. DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom discussed with ANCOM for a good period of time before this decision was taken, and the 30% reduction in the price of phone calls in fixed networks is something very good for many Romanians, especially for companies.

Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom they agreed with the changes made for the LRIC cost calculation model, and as a result, the decision was reached to apply this reduction. It comes after a few months ago the intention of those from ANCOM was announced regarding the services that DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom offer in Romania, and until now there have been negotiations regarding the final version of the tariffs that will be imposed.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom will see some reductions in revenue as part of these changes, but they won't be as big as many people imagine. DIGI, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom earn most of the money from the mobile services they offer in Romania at the moment, fixed services being in decline for several years both in terms of usage and number of customers, which in the end is perfectly normal.
Digi, Orange, Vodafone, Telekom it should notify all its customers who use its landline services about this very important change, so we just have to wait for it to come into force.
