Government of Romania: announcement about the opening of restaurants

The Romanian government announces the opening of restaurants

The Romanian government, through Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, today provided new information regarding the possible reopening of restaurants, and this just a few hours after Raed Arafat put them on the list of the most dangerous locations from the point of view of infections.

The Romanian government says that for now there is no problem of reopening restaurants in Romania, but this is not excluded when the number of cases will decrease, and the first ones that could be reopened are those inside the hotels.

"We would like to be able to open the restaurants. In the discussions I had with the representatives of the business environment, I told them that we need to have an at least appreciably improved epidemiological context and a guarantee of cooperation from all employers in complying with the health protection rules.

Let's be honest. 80-85% of them respect the rules, but we still have a percentage of people who do not respect the rules and who are not involved nor do they want to ensure compliance with the rules. …. It is really possible in two stages, first to open the restaurants related to the hotels and later the other restaurants."
