Facebook has announced a radical new measure for its social media platform, so that new types of photos are prohibited from being published within it, and we are talking about some that generated a lot of unproductive discussions.
Facebook forbids its users to publish "blackface" images, i.e. those in which black people are ridiculed, all as a measure to appease the people who participated in the Black Lives Matter protests.
Facebook also bans memes, or any kind of similar images that suggest that the Jewish people rule the world and control various important international institutions, another step to reduce online rhetoric.
"Facebook has expanded its ban on racist writing and images, with new rules specifically banning blackface depictions and statements or images that suggest the Jewish people control the world or major institutions."
