Warning of the Romanian police to radar drivers

Today, the Romanian Police has a warning for all drivers in the country, and this is because we are talking about a new action carried out by the authorities, which focuses on checking compliance with road traffic conditions on the roads of the whole country.

The Romanian Police practically placed a varied range of speed cameras in various areas of the country, and applied over 20.000 fines, withholding 2300 driving licenses, all to try to reduce the number of road accidents that occur in certain areas.

"Traffic police officers applied more than 20.000 penalties and withheld approximately 2.300 driving licenses to drivers who endangered traffic safety by not respecting the legal speed limits, during a week-long action according to the Activity Calendar of the European Traffic Police Network – ROADPOL.

Speed not adapted to road conditions and irregular speed are among the main causes of road accidents.

In the week of August 10 - 16, 2020, according to the Activity Calendar of the European Road Police Network - ROADPOL, the Road Directorate coordinated the Speed action, to prevent traffic accidents caused by non-compliance with the legal speed regime.
