The Romanian government has officially announced that it has bought 3 million doses of flu vaccine that will be administered to citizens in the risk categories in the next period, but not only to those with chronic diseases or the elderly, but also to some budget holders, such as the teachers, who are always around the students.
The Romanian government wants to vaccinate as many people as possible in the immediate period to avoid situations in which people contract both the Coronavirus and the flu, a situation in which things would become extremely complicated for patients, and they would risk death.
"The first tranche of 330.000 doses of vaccine arrived, they were distributed among DSPs. We have one more tranche to come this month, 400.000 in total, next month there will be 1,2 million doses, then another 1 million doses.
Teaching staff will also be included in the risk category. At the moment, we still have 3 million doses of the flu vaccine that we contracted, with the possibility of extending it to another million doses, and they will also be distributed to the education staff."
