Romanian government: threat to teachers who refuse to teach online

Romanian government teachers

The Romanian government, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, issued a threat to the teachers who during this period refuse to teach online for the students who are part of these programs, saying that legal measures will be applied against those who refuse to do so.

The Romanian government is obliged to answer this question because there were cases in which teachers refused to teach online to students in certain schools, but the prime minister says that everything necessary will be done for the teachers to do their job, and that the students receive the education they need in this difficult period.

"I can't imagine that a teacher can refuse to teach children. We will take the necessary legal measures in such situations. If it will be necessary to make changes to the education law, we will. We should not judge teachers for a few individual cases. Where they call, we will take legal action. But, most adapt and do their duty." A declared Ludovic Orban at DIGI 24.
