COVID-19 Romania: IT ATTACK at a testing center

A computer attack carried out at a testing center for COVID-19 in Bucharest left many Romanians with big question marks, the hackers sending people via SMS messages that they are infected, when in reality not all of them had contacted the dream.

The database with the phone numbers of the patients who were tested for COVID-19 at the center in Bucharest was hacked, and the hackers then sent messages to people informing them that they were infected with the virus, people starting to be informed even from the course of yesterday.

The messages were also sent to people who had not taken tests for COVID-19, but only simple medical analyses, and 7 of the people were called by an individual who presented himself as a representative of the medical center, proposing to the people to be scheduled for a flu vaccine.

DIICOT is going to investigate the case after the representatives of the analysis center filed a complaint following the breach of the database, and in a few months we will probably find out who was behind this hack.
