The Romanian government asks Romanians not to waste food

The Romanian government food waste

The Government of Romania, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, asks the Romanians from all over the country not to waste food at a time when there is a need to raise awareness of the fact that food waste is a very serious problem facing humanity at the moment from the girl.

"Prime Minister Ludovic Orban: This year, on September 29, we mark for the first time the International Food Waste Awareness Day, according to the decision taken last year in the United Nations General Assembly. Half a century ago and even less, the possibility of a global alert in the sphere of food waste would probably have seemed bizarre to the point of absurdity. But here things are changing rapidly and today the world map is in a position to find that food is becoming garbage in many developed countries, while in poor or conflict areas of the globe, entire populations are threatened by starvation. Designating a day to raise awareness of this reality is important, first of all, because it signals an abnormal aspect of food reporting on the part of a significant number of people, but also because it challenges finding solutions to restore balance."
