Nelu Tataru provided new information regarding the moment when the vaccine against the Coronavirus will arrive in Romania, many people are waiting for it to be approved and for production to begin, so that as many people as possible can start being vaccinated.
Nelu Tataru says that in December, or at the end of January, the first tranche of vaccines against the Coronavirus would be available, and in Romania it would reach somewhere around 1.3 million doses that would be distributed so that people with the degree of greater risk of being immunized.
"Maybe in December, January we will have the first installment of 30 million doses at the level of the European Community. We benefit from that 4%, i.e. 1.290.000 doses to give to risk groups and generally to exposed people, such as medical personnel.
There are seven companies currently working on the vaccine. Among them are Oxford, AstraZeneca and Sanofi. They are the most advanced. At the level of the European Community, contracts have been made with two of these seven companies that presented their services."
