Vodafone: Majora SURPRISE OFFICIALLY Announced for Romania

Vodafone has a major surprise officially announced by the Romanian authorities, here is what happened to the telecommunications operator.

vodafone portability

Vodafone is one of the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, and until now it has not shown extremely great interest in becoming competitive in a certain market segment where others have taken the initiative in its place. I'm talking about goalkeepers, where Vodafone was always far behind those from DIGI Mobil, Telekom, and even Orange, in most months, swapping the last place with the French group repeatedly.

Vodafone still surprises in September, and that's because it occupies the first place in the porting done for fixed telephony, and the 2nd place in that for mobile telephony, at least as long as in the case of Telekom the reporting is differentiated between divisions. As far as I know, in the last year the people from Vodafone managed to secure the whole Telekom division that includes the former Romtelecom, and it seems that it is now coming back, maybe to be a more serious competitor.

Vodafone: Majora SURPRISE OFFICIALLY Announced for Romania

Vodafone managed in September to attract 12032 porters of mobile phone numbers, and 5243 porters on the landline side, the second achievement not being that rare, in this segment of the market porters being somewhat more balanced. As far as mobile telephony is concerned, those from DIGI Mobil control the market without the right to call, and the figures from September reaffirm this, but Vodafone is starting to show signs that it would like to attract more customers through porting.

Vodafone it was always at a short distance behind the Telekom division that includes the former Romtelecom, and now it managed to surpass it again, but it still remains far from the total figures that Telekom registers monthly. Vodafone fights more with Orange every month in terms of the number of customer ports, and it does not have special offers as good as Telekom or DIGI Mobil for porting, but it does its best, and sometimes manages to make surprises.

Vodafone it focuses more on the prepaid part, and on classic subscriptions sold at much higher prices than Telekom or DIGI Mobil, and so far it has managed to maintain a balance between offers and customers in Romania.
