DIGI Mobil: MILLIONS of Customers Affected by BAD News

DIGI Mobil has over 3 million customers all over Romania, but unfortunately for them there is also bad news today, here's what the company decided not to do.

DIGI Mobil millions

DIGI Mobile has over 3 million customers in Romania, or at least that's what we know based on the figures that have been offered over time by the telecommunications operator, the customer base being constantly growing thanks to the company's good offers. Well, for all these customers comes a very bad news, and this is because DIGI Mobil seems to have completely stopped the investments in improving the telecommunications networks it has in Romania.

DIGI Mobile it has not updated the maps with the coverage of the telecommunications networks since August 25, so for over a month and a half, and in the case of 5G coverage, there has been no change since April. If in the case of 5G things are clear and have to do with the fact that the Romanian Government has not yet allowed the auction for 5G frequencies, in the case of the other networks those from DIGI Mobil seem to have put a pause on investments for unknown reasons.

DIGI Mobil: MILLIONS of Customers Affected by BAD News

DIGI Mobile has invested a lot in the last year in the creation and expansion of the 2G telecommunications network that millions of customers in Romania use, this being the "piece" missing from the infrastructure of the telecommunications company. With the 2G network it has now, DIGI Mobil can offer customers from all over Romania a better signal for phone calls made from inside buildings, but also better coverage in areas where it was weak or non-existent.

DIGI Mobile it did not improve the performance of the 3G and 4G networks at all, they still remain limited in data transfer capacity, and this is seen in the constant tests that are done between the operator's network and those of the competition. For years, DIGI Mobil has been at the tail of telecommunications operators when it comes to the performance of its networks, and this will not change because in the future the company will focus on 5G, not on old networks.

DIGI Mobile is now preparing for the auction for the 5G frequencies, although it contested a measure by ANCOM that tries to take its licenses for some extremely important frequency bands, so no one knows how things will unfold here as well.
