The Government of Romania, through the Prime Minister, Ludovic Orban, comes today with new details regarding the way the Coronavirus pandemic is evolving in Romania, and as you already know, the goal of the authorities is not to completely close the whole country, but that will happens if people don't follow the rules.
The Romanian government wants the Romanians to understand that the new Coronavirus is not to be trifled with, and that they must protect themselves, otherwise the risk of a regional quarantine, at least, being imposed by the authorities in our country, and apparently, this this could happen quite soon.
"We are not aiming to reach a "lockdown", I said right from the start. Our objective is to reduce the infection rate, to stop the increase in the number of infections. We have seen recently, at least in the last few weeks, a visible, significant increase in the degree of people's compliance. More and more people are beginning to understand. Of course there are certain groups, denialists, with whom one cannot talk rationally. (…) Everywhere there are provocateurs in such groups.
There are many people appearing in many places. The messages they send are messages that are against the interest of every citizen and against our general interest. Our general interest is that life takes place in conditions as close to normality as possible."
