Nelu Tataru made a very important announcement today regarding the reimposition of a total quarantine in Romania, something that many people fear because the number of cases has increased extremely in recent weeks, reaching the point where we have almost 5000 new cases daily.
Nelu Tataru says that at the moment there is no need to restore the state of emergency, and then the total quarantine, but people need to respect the protective measures, so we will continue to see huge increases in the number of daily cases of infection with the new coronavirus.
"This is not required. As you probably know, we adapt restrictions and measures locally. Each county committee for emergency situations adapts according to the index it receives from the DSP, after 24 hours, and the evaluation of the measures, after 48 hours, are those that are put into practice.
As you know, we have 4.848 new cases, but we also have 37.000 tests done. We follow intensive care cases as well as deaths. All that remains is to respect the same rules that we have and to think that, however, there is a medical staff that has to manage a large number of cases." said Nelu Tataru at DIGI 24.
