Romanian Government: STS will monitor in detail the infections in city neighborhoods

The Romanian Government STS monitors in detail the infections in the neighborhoods of the cities

The Romanian government is working together with STS on a special IT application whose purpose is to help geographically locate new cases of Coronavirus within cities, so that zonal quarantine measures, even for neighborhoods or streets, can be applied.

The Romanian government has been working on this application for some time, it will be launched in the next few days, the general mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, confirming its existence and launch in the next period, and most likely everything will be extended to the national level as well .

"Regarding Bucharest, at this moment, as a whole, I think that quarantine is not required.

However, there is an IT system that the ministry, with STS, implements. The implementation has already started, it will be ready in a few days. Based on this system, we will have the geographical distribution of cases within the municipality. Then, if we find that there are outbreaks on one or two streets, in a small neighborhood, such a measure can be taken." A declared Nicusor Dan at DIGI 24.
