Vodafone seems to have put the "brake" on the expansion project of its 5G network in Romania, or at least this seems to be the situation if we look at things from the outside, because there have been no more announcements regarding its expansion. Those from Vodafone were the first to announce the launch of a 5G network in Romania, but in recent months we haven't heard anything from them about this, a sign that the situation is starting to stagnate because of the authorities.

Vodafone could wait for the Romanian authorities to finally make a decision regarding the 5G tender, but for now everything is blocked after the ANCOM president resigned, just a few weeks ago. The new management will have to organize the auction for the frequencies of the 5G networks, but everything will be done quite late compared to the plan agreed last year, and compared to what should have happened in fact.
Vodafone he is most likely waiting to see if the authorities will ban, or not, the use of Huawei equipment for 5G networks, something completely possible, especially since other countries in Europe have already done so. In our country, nothing is certain from this point of view, but it would not be excluded that even in our country Vodafone will be forced to give up the collaboration with Huawei on the part of telecommunications equipment for the 5G network.
Vodafone it has 5G coverage in several cities in Romania, but it is a bit behind compared to what the other telecommunications operators offer for their customers all over the country at the moment.
