"Be vigilant when checking incoming emails, especially those containing attachments! Emotet is still active and spreading through #spam campaigns.

These emails claim to come from certain companies, institutions or even individuals. Moreover, in certain cases they can come directly from a real source, if it has already been infected.

Right now there are 3 ways you can get infected
The PC/network with Emotet, in all cases starting from a spam email:
1. Spam mail, with an attachment containing macros that download #malware.
2. Spam mail with an attachment containing macros, but the malicious file is included in an archive with a password (the password is communicated in
the text of the email, so that the victim can unarchive it).
3. Spam mail that has a link included in the text. By clicking on that link, the victim ends up infecting their device with malware.
Before taking an action that could harm, scan with a security solution installed on the device, or with one available for free online (ex: Virus Total) the suspicious links or attachments in your mailbox! Think before you click!"
