The Ministry of Health announced a new record of patients admitted to intensive care, the authorities confirming that the situation continues to be very serious at the moment, and things are moving towards the full occupancy of the ICU beds available for patients infected with the new Coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health said about a week ago that there are around 1300 intensive care beds available for clients all over the country at the moment, and as you can see below, they end up being almost entirely occupied by patients hospitalized.
"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12.919. Of these, 1.172 are hospitalized at ATI.
Up to this date, at the national level, 3.667.896 tests have been processed. Of these, 37.040 were performed in the last 24 hours, 21.204 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 15.836 on request.
On the territory of Romania, 48.129 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 13.207 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 79.532 people are in home quarantine, and 23 people are in institutionalized quarantine."
