Raed Arafat, the head of the DSU, spoke about the situation that is being recorded in Bucharest at the moment, the capital having the highest daily number of cases, and yet it is not in quarantine, and according to the secretary of state, although things are not going well, however, there is no exponential growth for now.
"The establishment of the quarantine is done at the proposal of the DSPs, if certain criteria are reached that must be met. Several localities decided to enter quarantine by the decision of the County Committees for Emergency Situations, others chose additional control measures, to wait for the quarantine to be imposed. We do not impose it from the center at the moment, but the decision is taken locally by the DSPs, with the opinion of the INSP and with the decision of the CJSU, with the order to be signed by me and published in accordance with the legal provisions.
At this moment we can say that we no longer have this exponential growth that was, we are somewhere at a plateau, with some ups and downs. So we can't say the situation is for the better right now, but we can't say it's growing like it was two to three weeks ago either. The measures have started to have an effect."
