Romanian Government: The suspension of classes in schools has been extended

The Romanian government suspends school

The Romanian government, through CNSU, decided yesterday to extend the period during which the presence of students in classes is suspended, and the courses will be held exclusively online.

"Considering the evolution of the epidemiological situation in Romania until 07.12.2020, as well as the request of the Ministry of Education and Research registered with no. 10723 of 07.12.2020,

taking into account the increase in the number of infected people at the national level, as well as the daily increase in the number of new confirmed cases, the poor implementation of preventive measures, the intense interaction and mobility of people, aspects that generate constant pressure on the management capacity of administrative units - territorial and sanitary system,

In accordance with Art. 4 a/in. {1) lit. c) and) and art. 81 of the DUG. no. 21/2004 regarding the National Emergency Management System, with subsequent amendments and additions,

Pursuant to the provisions of art. 38 paragraph (12) and art. 71 of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, of art. 20 lit. I) from Government Emergency Ordinance no. 21/2004 regarding the National Emergency Management System, approved with amendments and additions by Law no. 15/2005, with subsequent amendments and additions, Ji of art. 2 and art. 4 of Government Decision no. 94/2014 regarding the organization, operation and composition of the National Committee for Special Emergency Situations,

The National Committee for Emergency Situations adopts the present
DECISION:

Art. 1 The extension of the suspension of activities that require the physical presence of preschoolers and students in educational units and the continuation of didactic activities in the online system, for the period 09.12.2020-23.12.2020, is approved.

Art. 2 This decision is communicated to all components of the National Emergency Management System, for implementation through orders and administrative acts of their leaders."
