Black Hole: The Discovery that STUNNED Many Researchers

The black hole that was observed by scientists led to a discovery that amazed many of the researchers around the world.

Black hole power

The black hole monitored by a group of researchers left them completely surprised because of what they managed to discover after a long analysis of its activity. More specifically, Indian researchers monitoring a black hole located over 10 million light-years from Earth observed an unusual explosion that occurred when it "swallowed" an object that came too close to it.

The black hole it emitted a very strong light following an explosion that took place on January 16, and scientists who have been monitoring it since 2020 were very surprised by what they saw. The black hole is part of a formation known as a blazar, and only 5000 have been discovered so far in the vast universe, but of these, only 50 of them are big enough to be monitored by scientists.

Black Hole: The Discovery that STUNNED Many Researchers

The black hole which is part of this blazar is a very rare one because it throws light and materials into the universe at a speed very close to that of light, and this makes its observation all the more important for scientists. These objects are also some of the oldest that have been detected in the universe, some being of the opinion that they are as old as the universe itself, but everything is currently presented only at the level of theory.

"This class of objects is very unique. They have complete electromagnetic emission, that is they emit radiation in all electromagnetic bands – Radio Waves; Microwaves; Infrared; Visible light; Ultraviolet (UV); X-Rays and Gamma Rays – which is not something all objects can do. Gamma ray births do this, but they are short lived. While there are more than a billion agents / sources that astronomers have detected over the years, these objects are very rare. Till date, only about 5,000 blazars are known. And, of these, only about 50 are prominent, allowing continuous / long-term observation.”

The black hole it normally emits strong light and various materials when it swallows a star or a planet, so these events are not unusual, but when they come from a blazar like this, we are talking about something really impressive. The black hole that scientists have monitored is one that will continue to be monitored very carefully, and this is because of its rarity, and the events that are observed.

The black hole from a blazat is an object that can help scientists to understand objects of this kind much better, so it remains to be seen what else will be revealed to us.
