Huawei has launched the Mate X2 for customers around the world, this being the third foldable phone model that the company has launched so far, but the model is currently offered exclusively in China.
"Huawei has announced the launch of the new HUAWEI Mate X2, the third device with a foldable screen in its portfolio, on the Chinese market. Thus, the company once again demonstrates its long-term strategy based on investment in innovation and research.
The HUAWEI Mate X2 facilitates new and immersive experiences for consumers, both thanks to the improved Falcon Wing design and the combination of the most innovative software and hardware solutions such as the Ultra Vision Leica Quad camera, the dual-speaker stereo system and the Kirin 9000 5G processor.
The HUAWEI Mate X2 features a compact design that works perfectly whether in smartphone or tablet mode. The generous display offers an outstanding viewing experience – the 8-inch diagonal flexible interior screen is one of the largest on the market. Also, the device is equipped with a magnetically controlled nano-optical layer to minimize reflection. It works perfectly with the 6,45-inch OLED screen on the outside.
The structure made of high-quality steel and carbon fiber makes this device very durable, light and robust. HUAWEI Mate X2 also features another industry innovation: a multi-dimensional hinge that has been perfected over five years. This makes the device fold perfectly with an almost imperceptible gap, minimizing creases on the outer screen when unfolded.
