iPhone 13 will have Touch ID integrated into the screen

iPhone 13 Integrated Touch ID Screen

iPhone 13, the next model of Apple's phone, is to be launched with Touch ID integrated into the screen, the American company intending to replace Face ID with a new ultrasonic fingerprint reader hidden in the lower part of the phone's screen.

The iPhone 13 will not come without a cutout in the upper part of the screen, but people will still see it, only that it will be smaller than the current one, and this is because Face ID will be completely removed, since it returns when scanning fingerprints.

The iPhone 13 will not have a LiDAR sensor for the camera, as it will continue to be used only for the Pro models, which of course is bad news for Apple fans who expected this component to arrive even in the cheaper models.

iPhone 13 is going to finally bring some changes that a lot of people have been asking for for some time for the new phone models, so it is very possible that some customers will be happy after so many years by the American company.

“For the next iPhone 13 cycle in 2H21, we foresee a better integrated version of the existing structured light system, which will enable the long-awaited reduction of the notch. On the flip side, we don't anticipate Apple expanding adoption of the 3D Lidar sensor beyond the Pro models.

For the 2H22 product cycle, we anticipate an architectural shift from structured light to time-of-flight, enabling an even smaller footprint. Based on our industry conversations, we don't think structured light under the display is likely to be ready for mass deployment in 2H22. We also view the adoption of under-glass fingerprint, which is likely to be added to 2H21 iPhones, as a structural headwind for additional 3D sensing content at Apple and could be the security feature of the future.”
