Facebook announced that it closed an incredibly large number of fake accounts during Q4 of 2020 globally, the American company officially revealing this to show that it still has control over its social network.

Facebook closed 1.3 billion fake accounts in just 4 months of 2020, and this while the platform has somewhere around 2.2 billion active accounts around the world, but if it didn't delete the fake accounts annually, it would there are tens of billions registered and used for various purposes.

Facebook also said that it has 35.000 people who delete content related to the Coronavirus every day, and that over 12 million posts were removed by its moderators during that period, which represents extremely important achievements for it.
