Klaus Iohannis is making a new call today for Romanians from all over the country to get vaccinated if they want to return to normality, the same message being sent by the country's president including last week, when he also tried to convince Romanians to get immunized.
Klaus Iohannis says that in other countries vaccination had an effect in reducing the number of infections, and returning to normality, which can happen even in Romania, but people need to understand this, and get vaccinated.
"We have concrete examples of countries that have vaccinated a significant proportion of the population and that have managed to radically reverse the epidemiological trend.
Vaccinating as many Romanians as possible means much fewer infections and deaths, it means the removal of restrictions, the end of the pandemic and a return to normality.
Even if our statistics show a decrease in the number of infections, which means that we have passed the peak of this epidemiological wave, we are not yet at the point of being able to completely abandon restrictive measures."
