The Romanian Government's exhortation to vaccinate Romanians

The call of the Romanian Government to vaccinate Romanians

The Government of Romania, through the voice of the Prime Minister, recommends all Romanians to get vaccinated in order to start a new life after a sufficient number of people will be immunized against the Coronavirus as part of this vaccination campaign.

"After yesterday we exceeded the record figure - 100.000 people vaccinated in one day, today we are at 92.000 people, but much more important is that, starting today, in Romania, and I don't think there is another example in Europe , you can go and get vaccinated without an appointment. You choose your vaccination center, go and get vaccinated. It is clear that this was the effort we wanted to make on the part of the government, to make sure that we have the necessary doses so that all Romanians who want to be vaccinated can be vaccinated without standing in line.

I trust that this effort will be appreciated, especially since we all want to return to normal as soon as possible. The sooner we get vaccinated, have the doses, the sooner we can return to normal life, to a life we had before the pandemic. This center will be open until Monday. I encourage all of you, those who have not yet been vaccinated, to come and get vaccinated. I talked to several people who got vaccinated, the experience is quick, everything is done quickly, easily, you don't stay long and after that you will see that another life begins. What is happening today in Bucharest is important. We also have centers in the military hospitals, you know very well that they are open until Monday, I think, or Tuesday, and there they vaccinate non-stop.

And there will be more events like this and I will certainly be there to support these initiatives because only in this way, only through such events can we talk about an important step from June 1 in the return to normality. It won't be the total return, one hundred percent, but it is an important step. And you will see that the measures that we will announce soon, the decisions that we will announce soon will clearly show that Romania is on the right track and is closer to normality."
