Romanian Government: Vaccination Objectives for Summer 2021

Romanian Government Vaccination Objectives Summer 2021

The Romanian government has established a series of goals for the vaccination of Romanians in the summer of 2021, and according to the information from Valeriu Gheorghita, it seems unlikely that they will be achieved because the world is not getting vaccinated in large enough numbers.

The Romanian government would like to have 1 million Romanians vaccinated on June 5, the figure of 4 million being reached only today, 6 million by July, and 7 million by August, but with 30-40.000 people vaccinated daily now, it need for an increase in interest to fulfill the objectives.

"The CNSU does not set the vaccination targets. It's the 5 million people by the end of May, 6 million in July and 7 million in August, I hope I'm not wrong. Throughout the country, at national level, there will be vaccination centers for the age group 16 and 17 years, obviously only in the centers that receive vaccine from Pfizer, 18 years will be able to present themselves in all centers, there is still an indication for all vaccines and, depending on when the authorization was granted, the 12-15 age group may also be included."
