The Romanian government has an extremely important warning for all Romanians throughout the country, coming through the government agency CERT-RO, and draws our attention to sextortion attacks, which have started to become more frequent.
The Romanian government tells us that Romanians have started receiving emails telling them from hackers that they have managed to break into their computers in order to film them in intimate positions, and they are being asked for various sums of money for those films to be it doesn't reach the internet.
“A new wave of #scam sextortion attacks is spreading via email these days. The CERT-RO team has issued an alert in this regard and recommends that you never respond to such messages, coming from unknown sources."
