Facebook announced today that it will impose a new measure to combat disinformation within its platform, so that it will mark all pages that share false content constantly, so that users know what they see from them within the platform.
Facebook will display the alerts below when a user tries to like a page that constantly displays false information, but the mark will only be imposed in the case of pages that are previously verified by independent auditors.
Facebook also says that it will reduce the distribution of information published by individual accounts that constantly publish false information, but this is also a measure imposed based on independent checks and confirmation of problems.
Facebook is taking these measures because a lot of false information about the Coronavirus has been published on its network, especially when it comes to vaccination, but of course this is not the only problem with which false information appears.
