FRF Access to the EURO 2020 National Arena Matches

EURO 2020 will start on June 11, and 4 games of the competition will be held at the National Arena, with spectators allowed in the stands, especially since the pandemic wave in Romania has decreased significantly in recent weeks.

The FRF has published the conditions under which ticket holders will be able to participate in the EURO 2020 matches in June, and below you have all the necessary details.

"Considering the national legislation in force regarding the holding of sports events during the COVID-19 pandemic, the following categories of people can attend the EURO 2020 matches at the National Arena in Bucharest from the stands:

A. People who are vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus for which 10 days have passed since the completion of the complete vaccination scheme;

B. People with a negative RT-PCR test result not older than 72 hours before the start of the match;

C. People who are between the 15th day and the 90th day after confirmation of infection with SARS-CoV-2;

D. Persons presenting a negative result certified by a medical unit of a rapid antigen test no older than 24 hours before the start of the match.

Ticket holders for EURO 2020 matches at the National Arena in Bucharest who fall into the above categories must provide proof of immunization against COVID-19. In this sense, they will go through the following steps to be able to enter the stadium:

For ticket holders falling into categories A, B or C:

  1. The ticket holder presents himself on the day of or before the match at one of the EURO 2020 accredited medical centers in Bucharest with the supporting medical documents, in Romanian or English.
  2. The applicant will pay the costs of the procedure at the cashier.
  3. The medical staff checks the documents and signals to the EURO 2020 volunteer present at the location that the applicant is fine.
  4. The EURO 2020 volunteer applies an access bracelet to the applicant's wrist. Attention: once removed from the hand, the wristband self-destructs and is no longer valid for access to the stadium!
  5. The spectator presents himself at the stadium. Access is based on the ticket AND the wristband. Just one of these elements is not enough. The spectator must also have on him the identity document with which he reserved his ticket.

In the event that the documents presented are found to be invalid, the applicant can enter the quick test procedure on the day of the match - described below - and thus be classified in category D.

For D-category ticket holders:

  1. The ticket holder presents himself on the day of the match at one of the EURO 2020 accredited medical centers in Bucharest.
  2. The applicant will pay the costs of the procedure at the cashier.
  3. The medical staff tests it with a rapid antigen test and communicates the test result after the required waiting period.
  4. The medical staff signals to the EURO 2020 volunteer present at the location that the applicant is fine (he has a negative test).
  5. The EURO 2020 volunteer applies an access bracelet to the applicant's wrist. Attention: once removed from the hand, the wristband self-destructs and is no longer valid for access to the stadium!
  6. The spectator presents himself at the stadium. Access is made based on ticket AND wristband. Just one of these elements is not enough. The spectator must also have on him the identity document with which he reserved his ticket.

Only rapid antigen tests performed at the respective medical center are valid. In case of a positive result in the rapid antigenic test, the access bracelet is no longer applied to the applicant. The medical staff follows the legal procedures for notifying the medical authorities about the registration of a case of COVID-19. The applicant will not be able to enter the match, nor will the money on the ticket be refunded. However, he can transfer the ticket to another supporter.
