Valeriu Gheorghita: June 1 and the Hot Days have Reduced Intention to Vaccinate

Valeriu Gheorghita June 1 warm days reduced vaccination

Valeriu Gheorghita stated that the day off on June 1 and the very good weather kept Romanians away from the vaccination centers, which was seen in the very low numbers regarding immunization among Romanians, which of course is a major problem.

Valeriu Gheorghita says on the other hand that in the rural areas there is interest in vaccination, but there the problem is reaching all the people who want to do this, and unfortunately the process is not one that takes place very quickly.

"Yesterday was June 1 and most of them chose to celebrate as they thought, obviously, and the weather was completely unfavorable, so many thought it was not a good time to go to the vaccination centers, but I can tell you that in these two days, May 31-June 1, almost 7.000 teenagers were vaccinated, which means that there was an increased addressability of young people."
