Raed Arafat today made a very important announcement regarding the new strains of the Coronavirus, saying that they can still be blocked by the vaccines that are in global distribution, including the Indian strain, the most contagious and the most dangerous.
Raed Arafat says that for now there is no intention to impose any new doses of vaccine to protect against new strains, so that it remains to be decided on this aspect following the studies done by the researchers.
"Until now, vaccines have variable effectiveness, there are studies that show, some maybe less or more, but it does not mean that they have no effect and are not effective. It is analyzed whether additional doses with certain modifications are needed. We'll see. At this point, vaccination protects and reduces the chance of getting a severe form including with the Indian strain, as far as we know."
