167.200 Doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine Arrive in Romania Today

167.200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine against the Coronavirus arrive in Romania today, but we are talking about a large number of doses of a vaccine that the Romanians don't really want at the moment, the number of those immunized with it decreasing significantly.

"A new tranche of Vaxzevria vaccine (AstraZeneca) arrives in the country 167.200 doses of Vaxzevria vaccine will arrive tomorrow, June 15, at the National Institute for Medical and Military Development Research "Cantacuzino", according to a press release.

The transport is provided by the producing company, and the vaccine doses will be brought to Bucharest by land.

The doses will be stored at the National Storage Center, and in the following period they will be distributed in the existing regional centers at national level. The National Center for the Storage of vaccines against COVID-19 within the "Cantacuzino" Institute is fully authorized and approved by the National Medicines and Medical Devices of Romania (ANMDMR), the national authority that has competence in the field of medicine for human use.

Until now, our country has received 2.998.000 doses of vaccine produced by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, and as of February 15, 828.503 have already been used to immunize the population."
