More precisely, those from BRD Romania have not yet decided to allow customers who have VISA cards to enroll their cards in Apple Pay and Google Pay in order to make payments with the phone, or even pay online, on the websites that allow this thing.
BRD Romania surprised a lot of people when it finally decided to offer its customers the opportunity to enroll their cards in the systems of other companies in order to make payments by phone. Apple Pay has been available for BRD Romania customers for more than a year, while Google Pay has been offered for only a few months, covering iPhone and Android phone users at the moment, but unfortunately in a limited way .
BRD Romania: The Big Problem That Still Annoys Many Customers
BRD Romania only allows Mastercard cards to be enrolled in these phone payment systems, while VISA cards are currently not allowed to be enrolled, something that upsets quite a few people. Why BRD Romania took this decision was not explained in detail, but most likely there are more customers with Mastercard cards than VISA, otherwise there would be no logic in not offering the possibility of enrolling these cards in the systems as well.
BRD Romania was one of the last banks that chose to offer Apple Pay for its customers, while in the case of Google Pay, it surprised with the speed with which it implemented the system, being a little behind other banks. Considering that BRD Romania was among the last banks that did not have phone payment systems for Android, the offer of Google Pay came as great news, but not all BRD Romania customers were satisfied because if they do not have a Mastercard, they cannot I can use it.
BRD Romania has not announced until now when exactly it wants to offer the possibility of enrolling VISA cards in Apple Pay and Google Pay, but it will probably do so at some point in the future.
