Coronavirus: Important Announcement regarding Vaccination Validity

A very big question regarding the vaccines against the Coronavirus is related to the "validity" in time of the vaccination, i.e. the period of time for which the vaccines administered to people will have their effect, and this in the context where in Austria there is a limitation regarding them .

Austria allows people who have been vaccinated no more than 9 months ago to enter the country and stay without vaccination, but this period is imposed only by Austria, without any connection with the period in which the vaccinations take effect.

"Not. At the moment, it is not a common position at European and global level, because we cannot issue an idea that in Europe the validity of protection after vaccination is nine months and in other countries it is longer. Effective medical protection against disease is important. However, you cannot have these data before the respective term is fulfilled. They are data in dynamics.

At this time, no decrease in the protection provided by vaccination has been proven. We should not confuse the decrease in antibody levels with the decrease in protection. I have said before and I repeat: the decrease in the level of antibodies does not reflect the decrease in protection, because we have a memory immune response and at the moment we come into contact with a person with SARS-CoV-2 infection and are exposed to the virus, the memory immune response it is very prompt and leads to a rapid increase in the level of antibodies and in this way we are protected. Basically, repeated periodic exposures to this infection keep our antibody levels high. It's an immunization, basically, a natural vaccination, I might say."
