The number of new cases of Coronavirus in Romania was published today by the authorities, and you can see that we are talking about an extremely good new development for the pandemic situation in our country at the moment, as it has been for several weeks.
The situation in the hospitals is also very good thanks to the decrease in the daily number of cases of poisoning with the Coronavirus, the number of deaths also decreasing substantially during this period, so we are only talking about very good news.
Vaccination against the Coronavirus is still not going in the best direction during this period, so it remains to be seen how exactly the authorities will succeed in convincing the world to follow all the preventive measures against infection.
"Until today, June 29, on the territory of Romania, 1.080.740 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed.
1.045.351 patients were declared cured.
Following the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 73 new cases of people infected with SARS - CoV - 2 (COVID - 19) were registered, these being cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution of total cases and new cases by county can be found in the table below.

*Regarding the "new cases not allocated by county", we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralized. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers directly enter the results of the tests carried out, following which the epidemiological investigation is carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases are assigned to the county/locality to which the infected persons belong.
**The total number of cases related to Gorj and Olt counties has been updated.
The coefficient of cumulative infections per 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the counties. Distinct from the newly confirmed cases, following retesting of patients who were already positive, 23 people were reconfirmed positive. The distribution of these cases by county can be found in the table below.

Until today, 33.605 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 28.06.2021 (10:00) – 29.06.2021 (10:00) 294 deaths (158 men and 136 women) of patients infected with the new coronavirus, admitted to hospitals in Alba, were reported by the INSP. Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Cluj, Covasna, Galați, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mureș, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare and the City of Bucharest.
288 of these deaths are before the above-mentioned interval and were entered into the database, at the request of the Ministry of Health, by the Public Health Directorates in the country, following the checks carried out.
Thus, 3 of these occurred in July 2020, 4 in August 2020, 9 in September, 35 in October, 77 in November 2020, 48 in December 2020, 29 in January 2021, 28 in February 2021, 32 in March 2021, 19 in April 2021 and 4 in May 2021, in the counties of Alba, Argeș, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Cluj, Covasna, Hunedoara, Prahova, Sălaj and Satu Mare.
Among the 294 deaths, 1 was registered in the age category 0-9 years, 1 death in the age category 20-29 years, 1 death in the age category 30-39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40- 49 years, 19 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 71 deaths in the age category 60-69 years, 95 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 100 deaths in the age category over 80 years.
272 of the recorded deaths are of patients who had co-morbidities, 1 deceased patient had no co-morbidities, and for 21 deceased patients no co-morbidities have been reported to date.
In the health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 503. Of these, 80 are hospitalized at ATI.
Until this date, at the national level, 8.331.498 RT-PCR tests and 1.447.760 rapid antigenic tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 15.292 RT-PCR tests were performed (8.076 based on case definition and medical protocol and 7.216 on request) and 14.406 rapid antigen tests.
On the territory of Romania, 1.713 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 801 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 18.365 people are in home quarantine, and 28 people are in institutionalized quarantine."
