COVID-19: How many Romanians are hospitalized due to the disease

The COVID-19 pandemic has 402 Romanians in hospitals at the moment, with 65 of them hospitalized in intensive care, a much higher percentage than in the past, when much fewer of those who were confirmed to be infected were admitted to intensive care.

As for the rest of the Romanians who have been confirmed until now, almost 2000 are in isolation at home, and this is the end of the number of people who have been confirmed to be infected with the Coronavirus in Romania.

"In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 402. Of these, 65 are hospitalized at ATI.

Until this date, at the national level, 8.401.917 RT-PCR tests and 1.507.938 rapid antigen tests have been processed. In the last 24 hours, 4.011 RT-PCR tests (1.937 based on case definition and medical protocol and 2.074 on request) and 7.856 rapid antigen tests were performed.

On the territory of Romania, 1.839 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are in isolation at home, and 718 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 18.410 people are in home quarantine, and 35 people are in institutionalized quarantine."
