Samsung GALAXY S22 is in full development process at the moment, the Samsung company wanting to bring its new phones to the market as quickly as possible, and this in the conditions in which the current series is doing well. Of course, the Samsung GALAXY S22 series will also come with several important innovations offered by Samsung, but the inclusion of a camera capable of taking pictures at a resolution of 200 megapixels is not something that will be offered by the company.
The Samsung GALAXY S22 had this huge modification officially announced by Samsung quite some time ago, but it seems that it will no longer be offered because the plans are different. The 200 megapixel image sensors are currently not well enough prepared to be offered in the Samsung GALAXY S22 series, so those with 108 megapixel resolution will be improved and will be used.
Samsung GALAXY S22: The Important Change for Phones
The Samsung GALAXY S22 Ultra would be the only model that would have such an image sensor integrated by the Samsung company for future phone models, which we also see in the current series. The Samsung GALAXY S22 and Plus models will still have the older image sensors, which have a lower resolution, but this is not exactly a big surprise for those who have bought phones from the company so far.
As I said, Samsung S22 Ultra will not blindly adopt the larger digital 200MP, but will further optimize the third-generation 108MP sensor.

The Samsung GALAXY S22 will still have a very serious competitor in Huawei phones, which until now had much better cameras, but their limited global distribution is still an advantage for the Koreans. Considering that the Samsung GALAXY S22 is expected with new improved cameras, maybe Huawei will lose its "crown" in terms of photography with mobile phones, especially since it no longer collaborates with Leica either.
The Samsung GALAXY S22 will be presented sometime in the first part of 2022 by the Samsung company, but it remains to be seen exactly when, and how long it would take until the moment sales begin.
