Study UK 🇬🇧 and South Africa 🇿🇦!
💡 Why are there differences between UK and South African deaths given that there is a significant increase in the number of cases in both countries?
❗️ For two reasons, which correlate with each other:
✅ the percentage of vaccination in the UK is much higher than that in South Africa;
✅ the population at risk, with higher chances of severe evolution, hospitalization and death, is vaccinated in a very high percentage in the UK. Vaccination coverage among the elderly is 85-90%.
❗️ Important!
✅ UK has over 65% of the population vaccinated with at least one dose and over 50% fully vaccinated. In addition, more than 85-90% of elderly and vulnerable people are already vaccinated.
🔛 The daily number of cases is constantly increasing, but the vast majority are registered among unvaccinated young people and people who have not yet received the booster dose.
☑️ Almost two-thirds of cases of delta strain infection in the UK are among unvaccinated people, 1 in 5 cases among people who have not yet received the second dose and less than 1 in 10 cases among those who are fully vaccinated.
〽️ Figures:
✅ Vaccinate
