Government of Romania: Restrictions Combined with Relaxations in Romania

Government of Romania Combined Restrictions Relaxation Romania

The Romanian government announces, through the minister Ioana Mihaila, that new relaxations are being prepared for the vaccinated and new restrictions for the unvaccinated in an attempt to keep the number of infections at a low level, but also to boost vaccinations.

The Romanian government says that the evolution of incidence rates, therefore implicitly the figures regarding infections, will dictate the restrictions and relaxations that will be imposed throughout Romania, and of course not everyone will be satisfied with what will happen in the end.

"I think that, given the evolution of the pandemic, the relaxations for the vaccinated can continue and it seems normal to me that the vaccinated continue to stay in offices without a mask, if everyone in that office is vaccinated, but for non-vaccinated people, what are the more at risk, if the numbers increase significantly, there should be restrictions.

What we did was to actually present in the coalition measures that worked in other states. These were working hypotheses, no decision has been made yet, next week we will resume each of these measures and see which will be considered appropriate."
