Romanian Government: Don't Give Up the Mask, New Relaxation Announced

The Romanian Government Does Not Give Up the Relaxation Mask Announced

The Romanian government is preparing to introduce a new relaxation starting on August 1 in Romania, this while not resuming the imposition of protective masks in closed spaces, a logical measure since the 4th wave is already generating an increase in infections.

The Romanian government is still thinking of increasing the number of people who can participate in private events even if the danger of the Delta variant has reached Romania, but probably for now it is not considered to be that big.

"Wearing the mask indoors is a mandatory measure. We will give you information related to the measures we will take from August 1: the mask will remain mandatory after August 1. Our structures continue to apply, every day, sanctions for non-compliance with health protection measures. In this way, I send a message as clearly as possible to the population: please continue to respect the health protection measures.

We look with concern at what is happening in other states in Europe, we look at the measures they have taken. We are at the stage where we have gradually relaxed some of the measures, as we introduced them. A declared the minister of the MAI, Lucian Bode at DIGI 24."
