Black Hole: STUNNING Announcement with Historic New Discovery

The black hole, the very hard-to-observe object in the universe about which scientists are still trying to discover various secrets, may have elucidated even more of the mysteries. Scientists in Germany have been running a special project for several years using an X-ray space telescope called eRosita, its goal being to discover every black hole that emits enough light to be detected beyond conventional methods.

The black hole is very difficult to detect because it does not emit light, so scientists use various alternative methods to detect the locations where they would hide. Thanks to new techniques used by German researchers, but also to the eRosita space telescope, a map with the largest number of black holes in the universe could be created, and here we are talking about a lot of objects that are very difficult to observe normally .

The black hole is an essential element that helps form galaxies, so this map made by German researchers can help discover new planets and stars from possible new galaxies. eRosita has been operating since 2019, and until now it has been used to analyze the universe at great distances from Earth, with 3 million sources of radiation being discovered, i.e. black holes, neutron stars or galaxy groups, and the research will continue.

"For the first time, we have an X-ray telescope that can be used in very similar ways to the large-field optical telescopes we use today. X-ray telescopes have so far been able to peer very deep into the center to observe the early Universe. But it has always been very difficult to compile large populations [of black holes, neutron stars and clusters] and create a large catalog that you can use to study their cosmological evolution. We have already discovered three times more than what was known before, although some of this still needs to be validated."

The black hole is not the only object in the universe that can be difficult to detect, neutron stars being in the same category, and this telescope is also capable of discovering them even if they are at great distances from the Earth. The research done by the Germans using eRosita could help us discover if there is any black hole closer to Earth, or if there is one in the Milky Way, or near it, all following the complex research that is being done.

The black hole at the center of our galaxy has already been captured in a picture by scientists, but we are still waiting for a video of it, and telescopes of this kind could be useful for that.
