DIGI Romania is one of the largest telecommunications groups in Romania at the moment, but it is a company with a majority Romanian shareholding, and it has achieved a truly impressive record. More precisely, those from DIGI Romania announced that since 2008 and until now they have attracted no less than 3 million customers in Romania through porting, bringing over two thirds of the total base of subscribers who use their services in our country at the time of face.
DIGI Romania officially announced this impressive record during this month, and it comes as news intended to show us how much the low prices offered by the operator matter to Romanians all over the country. DIGI Romania has attracted most of its customers who come through porting with prices much lower than those of the competition, even if the services they offer do not have the same level of quality, but for many Romanians it mattered more what they pay for the services.
DIGI Romania: Impressive Record that will be Hard to Match
DIGI Romania managed to attract to its network somewhere around 40% of the total number of goalkeepers registered throughout Romania between 2008 and 2020, i.e. 3 million out of a total of 7.92 million. The figures show how seriously DIGI Romania was involved in the fight for porting in Romania, and this despite having serious competition from Orange, Vodafone, Telekom, during this period, but even so, it managed to be successful with prices practiced.
DIGI Romania attracted almost 2.7 million new customers in the mobile phone network, and over 300.000 in the fixed phone network, to reach a total of 3 million subscribers brought through porting. The numbers are impressive, and until now no other telecommunications group has managed to reach them, but that is also because they charge much higher prices for the services they offer to customers from all over Romania, which will always keep them behind DIGI Romania.
DIGI Romania continues its policy of cheap goalkeepers in Romania during this period, and it is expected that it will not disappear too soon, especially since it wants to constantly increase its customer base.
