Coronavirus: Vaccinated people would have fewer restrictions

Vaccinated people could have fewer restrictions when the incidence rates increase, this being the proposal of the Ministry of Health vis-à-vis the way the pandemic should unfold in Romania in the coming months.

The authorities say that vaccinated people should not be subject to the same type of restrictions that are imposed on people who refuse to be vaccinated against the Coronavirus, something that of course has already been happening in many European states for several weeks.

"First of all, at this moment, we are in the discussion phase, together with the other representatives of the Government. It is - and I repeat this - preventive measures when we notice that the pandemic numbers are increasing, we must respect our priority objectives.

Those are: closing schools as late as possible or at all, because education is a priority; eliminating or reducing as much as possible the restrictions on vaccinated people, we do not believe that vaccinated people should be restricted in their right to go to restaurants, or shopping or anywhere else; the third principle is not to close the economy.

These are the three broad lines that guide us when we consider possible preventive measures, preventive measures that will be applied depending on the evolution of the epidemic, depending on the degree of occupancy of the hospitals. What is worth mentioning is that the world still has time to vaccinate and that vaccination will bring benefits, both for oneself and for the person next to us, who will no longer be hospitalized with a mild or severe form of COVID , but which will be able to have access to hospitals, if they will no longer be overloaded with patients infected with COVID."
