Valeriu Gheorghita: The Grave Danger in Full Wave 4

Valeriu Gheorghita talks about a very serious danger that is ignored by many Romanians at the moment, and this in the conditions that because of it, extremely many problems can arise in the midst of the 4th wave of Coronavirus infections all over the world.

Valeriu Gheorghita says that many reinfections of people who were cured of the disease more than 6 months after the new detection began to be recorded, this means that people need to be vaccinated in order to remain protected.

"I saw that today 80 cases of reinfection were reported more than six months after the initial diagnosis. So reinfections are a certainty, we meet them even in our country and this shows us very clearly that the natural immunity, the immunity acquired after going through the disease with other variants, does not offer us a sufficient level of protection against the Delta variant. As such, it is very important that people who have a history of passing through the disease get vaccinated, precisely to strengthen this immune response.

So our message is that we will start with the vulnerable, with an increased risk of exposure, and then, in the following period, progressively include the rest of the general population who received at least the initial vaccination schedule, provided, I repeat, that we have the at least six months and not have gone through illness where the benefits are debatable."
